Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 180 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • some butter for the mold
  • 500 g apple
  • n. B. sugar
  • e.g. cinnamon
  • 30 g butter flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

American Apple Pie

Melt the butter and let it cool, then stir in the sugar. Add the eggs one at a time. Combine the flour and baking powder and add to the cream. Blend everything until a smooth batter forms. Butter a 1.5-liter springform pan and pour the batter into it. Peel, core, and slice the apples. Arrange the apple slices as tightly as possible on the batter and sprinkle thickly with sugar and cinnamon. Place knobs of butter on the cake. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 40 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan and let it cool.
