- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 150 ml buttermilk
- 150 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 3 tbsp clarified butter
- maple syrup
- e.g. butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 26 minutes
Buttermilk Pancakes
Whisk together the egg, fat, and buttermilk. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt, then add to the pan and mix until a smooth batter forms. Cook four small pancakes one at a time in a nonstick pan in hot clarified butter. Drop in the batter a tablespoon at a time, spread it out slightly, and cook for about three minutes on each side. Drizzle the pancakes with maple syrup and top with butter, if desired.
