Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Grease a square baking sheet approximately 30 x 40 centimeters (12 x 16 inches). For the cream cheese mixture, beat the cream cheese and butter in a bowl with an electric hand mixer until fluffy, then add the sugar and mix until smooth. Stir in the eggs, vanilla, and vanilla sugar, and mix well. For the brownie mixture, melt the chocolate and butter in a large saucepan over low heat or in a double boiler. Stir until smooth and let cool slightly. Beat the eggs with the brown sugar, a pinch of salt, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Then stir in the cooled chocolate butter. Add the flour and mix quickly, taking care not to overbeat. Reserve one-third of the brownie mixture and pour the remaining batter into the pan. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie mixture, then the remaining chocolate mixture. Use a fork to spiral the batter through the batter to create a marbled effect. Bake the batter on the middle rack for 30-35 minutes, until firm in the center but still moist. Allow to cool completely before cutting. Cut into small squares.
