Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 9 chicken drumsticks
- 1 chili pepper(s)
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 2 tsp rosemary
- 2 garlic cloves
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 45 minutes
with cornbread
Crush the garlic. Deseed and finely chop the chili pepper, if necessary. Mix both with the other spices, soy sauce, and orange juice to make a marinade and marinate the chicken thighs. Let the chicken marinate overnight. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Place the chicken in a casserole dish, pour the marinade over it, and bake for 20 minutes. Then grill the drumsticks on high for another 8-10 minutes. We served this with homemade cornbread. I also spread honey butter on the bread before baking.
