Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g sugar
  • 140 ml milk
  • 200 ml whipped cream
  • 40 ml Amaretto
  • 20 ml rum
  • 20 ml cognac
  • 2 pinches of cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch of cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp. clove powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 hours; Total time approx. 5 hours 15 minutes

Eggnog with Amaretto

Separate the eggs and whisk the egg yolks with the sugar until the mixture is light and thick. Then add the milk, 130 ml of cream, the spices, the amaretto, rum, and cognac. Refrigerate and let stand for up to 5 hours, or use immediately. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and the remaining cream. Fold both into the mixture. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon before serving. Tip: The amaretto can be replaced with whiskey.
