Canadian Lumberjack Potion

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 ml apple juice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves
  • ½ stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 piece(s) lemon peel
  • 50 ml whiskey

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Grog-like, but fruitier and spicier

Heat apple juice, brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon, and lemon zest in a saucepan until boiling. Optionally, add a little lemon juice if you prefer a more sour note. Pour whiskey into a punch glass and gently warm in the microwave. Strain the apple juice and spice mixture into the glass and serve. It’s always a hit as a cold preventative.
