Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 liter eggnog
  • 0.8 liters of sweet white wine
  • 1 orange(s), untreated, some peel and 200 ml juice
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar with real vanilla
  • 24 cl rum (Stroh Rum 80%)
  • 1 cup of sweet cream
  • 12 pinch(s) of cinnamon powder or cocoa

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Christmas eggnog for about 12 glasses

Squeeze the orange and heat the juice in a saucepan with the eggnog, white wine, and vanilla sugar, stirring constantly. Meanwhile, finely grate some orange zest and add it. Do not boil, or the mixture will curdle. 1. Variation: Whip the cream with cinnamon powder until stiff and chill. 2. Variation: Whip the cream without cinnamon powder until stiff, chill, and sprinkle the cinnamon on top later. Now add the rum to the hot eggnog mixture, about 2 cl per person (1 standard shot glass). Now pour the eggnog into glasses or cups and garnish with the whipped cream. Depending on the variation, sprinkle with cinnamon or cocoa.
