Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 200 g flour
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100 g margarine
- 5 tbsp water, cold
- 75 g Parmesan, grated
- 250 g tomatoes, sliced
- 2 eggs
- ⅛ liter milk
- 6 tbsp cream
- salt and pepper
- 150 g raw ham, thinly sliced
- oregano
- Thyme
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Quickly knead flour, salt, margarine, and water into a smooth dough. Chill and then roll it out. Line the bottom of a baking sheet or a 26cm springform pan with it, pulling the edges up slightly. Spread the ham on top, then the Parmesan cheese, and then the tomatoes. Bake the ham pie for 10 minutes at 225-250 degrees Celsius. In the meantime, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, and spices and spread them on the pie. Bake for another 15 minutes, until the egg wash is lightly browned. Enjoy while still warm. Serve with tomato ketchup. The pie is also delicious eaten cold and freezes well.
