Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 250 g pasta (e.g. bows)
- 2 liters of vegetable broth
- 150 g bratwurst, coarse
- 450 g vegetables (frozen Balkan vegetables, unseasoned mix of peas, corn and red pepper)
- 1 jar sausage (cocktail sausages)
- 200 g cherry tomatoes
- 1 bunch of chives
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Form the coarsely chopped sausage into small dumplings. Bring the broth to a boil, then simmer the Balkan vegetables and sausage dumplings for 5 minutes. Finally, add the pasta, cocktail sausages, and halved tomatoes. Sprinkle with chives and serve. For dessert, I always serve the kids apple strudel with vanilla sauce or quark strudel with apple sauce. It’s always a hit!
