Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g Gulas (glass eel substitute)
  • 200 g prawns, raw, peeled
  • 4 cloves garlic, cut into small pieces
  • 3 chili peppers, dried
  • 3 tomatoes, dried, cut into small pieces
  • 250 ml olive oil (extra virgin), cold squeezed
  • some lemon juice
  • 1 sprig(s) rosemary
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Pasta sauce with glass eel substitute and shrimp

Combine all ingredients (except the lemon juice) in a bowl, mix, and marinate in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Then heat everything in a saucepan and simmer (do not fry) for about 6 minutes. Add a few drops of lemon juice and season with salt. Remove the chili peppers and rosemary and serve with spaghetti or other pasta. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
