Apple and fig jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g apples
  • 250 g fig(s), fresh
  • 750 g gelling sugar 1:1
  • 1 tsp, smothered cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 30 minutes

Peel and finely chop the apples. Chop the figs as well. Mix the apples and figs with the preserving sugar and let stand overnight. The next day, simmer with cinnamon and lemon juice for 10-15 minutes, or according to the instructions on the sugar packet. Purée slightly with a hand blender if desired. Pour into jars while still hot.
