Apple and Onion Smoked Pork

The perfect apple and onion smoked pork recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 Discs Kasseler
  • Pepper
  • 2 size Onions
  • 2 Apples
  • 150 ml Vegetable broth
  • 100 ml Milk or cream
  • 3 tablespoon Applesauce
  • Salt
  1. Wash the Kassel slices – pat dry with pepper and fry on both sides – remove and keep warm.
  2. Peel the onions, cut into rings, remove the core of the peeled apples with an apple cutter and cut into slices.
  3. Now add the onion rings and apple slices to the meat stock and sauté.
  4. Deglaze with the broth, add the milk or cream and the applesauce and briefly. bring to a boil .
  5. Add the Kassel slices again and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve on a plate with potatoes or puree – enjoy your meal
