Potato and Apple Casserole with Smoked Pork and Nut Crumbs

Ingredients
 

  • 6 piece Large potatoes
  • 1 pole Leek
  • 2 piece Belle de Boskoop Apples
  • 300 g Smoked Kasseler raw
  • 200 ml Cream
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 3 piece Eggs, size M
  • Salt
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • Nutmeg
  • Fine seasoning
  • Dried marjoram
  • 60 g Walnut kernels, finely chopped
  • 3 heaped tbsp Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Sting Butter
  • Dried marjoram

Instructions
 

  • Peel the potatoes and cut / slice into slices about 1/2 cm thick. Pre-boil in lightly salted water for a good 5 minutes, then pour off in a sieve and drain well.
  • Clean the leek and cut it into small slices. Dice the Kasseler. Quarter, core and slice the apples.
  • Now preheat the oven to 200 ° and lightly butter a casserole dish.
  • Mix the cream with the milk and eggs and season well with the spices, then add marjoram to taste.
  • Now layer the potatoes alternately with the apples in the pan, distribute the leek and smoked pork evenly over the top, pour over the egg milk.
  • Heat the butter in a pan and brown the nuts together with the breadcrumbs and some marjoram, then spread over the casserole.
  • Now bake the casserole on the middle rack of the oven in about 45 minutes.
