Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 g apples
  • 100 g honey
  • 150 g sugar
  • 350 g dried fruit
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 200 g nuts, grated
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 tbsp rum
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Grate the apples, add the honey, sugar, vanilla sugar, rum, cinnamon, and chopped dried fruit, and let stand for a few hours (preferably overnight). Then, combine the baking powder with the flour and ground nuts and stir well until no flour lumps remain. Pour this mixture into two loaf pans and bake at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 1 hour. The apple bread keeps well and can also be frozen.
