Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 400 g flour
- 25 g yeast, fresh or
- 1 packet of dry yeast
- 170 g sugar
- 250 g butter
- 2 eggs (size M)
- 200 ml milk
- 1 pinch of salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon powder
- 500 g apples
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 30 g almond flakes
- Grease for the tray
- Flour for the hands
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes
Knead 400g flour, 25g yeast, 70g sugar, 50g softened butter, 2 eggs, 200ml lukewarm milk, and 1 pinch of salt using the dough hook of a hand mixer for 5 minutes. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 40 minutes. Place on a greased, deep baking tray (40 x 30cm). Spread evenly on the tray with floured hands. Let rise for another 20 minutes. Beat 200g softened butter, 70g sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon until very creamy. Peel, halve, core, and thinly slice 500g apples. Mix with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Spread the cinnamon butter over the dough until smooth. Arrange the apples on top. Mix the flaked almonds and 30g sugar together and sprinkle over the apples. Bake in a hot oven at 200°C (fan oven 180°C) on the lowest rack for 20 – 25 minutes.
