Apple-carrot Muffins

The perfect apple-carrot muffins recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 60 g Butter
  • 150 g Wholemeal spelled flour
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 Pr Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 Msp Ground cloves
  • 2 Apples approx. 250 gr.
  • 2 Carrots approx. 150 gr.
  • 2 Eggs
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 0,5 Lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 12 Marzipan carrots
  • 12 Paper cases
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C / fan oven
  2. Melt the butter. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and clove powder in a bowl.
  3. Peel and grate apples and carrots and add to the flour mixture with the melted butter, eggs and milk and stir in briefly until all ingredients are moist.
  4. Place the paper liners in a muffin tray and spread the batter in it. Turn the oven down to 180 ° C and bake the muffins for about 30-35 minutes.
  5. Let the muffins rest in the baking tray for at least 10 minutes, then leave to cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. Mix the powdered sugar and lemon juice and brush the muffins with it. Finally, put a marzipan carrot on each muffin.
