Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 4 rolls, stale
  • 250 ml milk
  • 75 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g quark
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 125 g sour cream
  • 750 g apples

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Dice the rolls and soak them in the warm milk. Using a hand mixer, combine the butter with sugar, a pinch of salt, eggs, and quark. Add the milk-roll mixture, vanilla pudding powder, baking powder, and sour cream, and mix everything together. Coarsely grate the apples, fold in, spread the mixture into a greased baking dish, and bake at 180°C (350°F) or 160°C (fan oven) for about 50 minutes.
