Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 4 apples, sour, e.g. Elstar or Boskoop
  • 375 g flour
  • 150 g margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 22 minutes

quick and easy for coffee breaks

Beat the margarine, sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Then add the eggs and gradually stir in the flour and baking powder. Peel the apples, cut them into small pieces, and fold them into the batter. Place small pieces onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
