Apple cinnamon cookies for toddlers without added sugar

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g spelt flour
  • 50 g oat flakes, ground
  • 1 banana(s)
  • 1 apple
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon powder (Ceylon cinnamon)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 22 minutes

Suitable for Baby Led Weaning (BLW)

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Combine the spelt flour, ground oats, and cinnamon in a bowl and mix. Mash the banana with a fork, peel the apple, and finely grate it. Add both to the flour mixture and mix well. Form the dough into small balls, flatten them, and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Optionally, sprinkle some Ceylon cinnamon powder on the cookies. Bake the cookies in a hot oven on the middle rack for about 12-15 minutes, until they are light golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool completely before eating. Tip: If you prefer finer cookies, you can optionally grind the oats into oat flour in a blender.
