A Silesian court

Peel, core, and roughly dice the apples. Combine the flour, egg, melted butter, baking powder, apples, and milk to form a dough that’s not too stiff. Then, using 2 wet tablespoons, scoop out dumplings from the dough and place them in boiling salted water. Let stand for 15 minutes; do not boil. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon, baste with browned butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
