Healthy fruit for children’s birthdays, something for the eye, fruit decoration, decoration for the buffet
Halve an apple and place it on a plate. About 3-4 cm from the front/bottom edge, cut a 1 cm wide slit lengthwise into the apple (from left to right across the entire front half of the apple). This will be the frog’s mouth. Halve the grapes and place one half on each side of the apple as feet. Cut two points into each grape to make the feet look even more realistic. Halve the remaining grapes and place them on the sides of the apple as arms. Place two grape halves on each side: one for the upper arm and one for the lower arm. Cut points into the “lower arm” as well to make the hands look more realistic. Finally, cut the marshmallow in half and place a chocolate drop on each half as a pupil (cutting the marshmallow will help it stick to the inside, and the chocolate drops will stay in place without the need for anything else). Stick both marshmallow halves into the upper half of the apple with a toothpick. Note: The recipe describes one apple frog, of course the second apple half does not have to be thrown away, but you can use double the amount of ingredients and prepare another frog.
