Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 800 g apples
- 200 g grapes
- 2 cup(s) tea, green
- 6 tbsp sugar or cane sugar
- 1 pack of gelling agent, 3:1
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Peel, core, and chop the apples, then roughly puree them with the grapes (preferably seedless; otherwise, core them first) in a blender. Be careful not to overcook them; you should still be able to see and taste the fruit pieces. Drizzle the resulting “compote” with lemon juice. Boil the green tea (2 tablespoons of green tea with about 400 ml of 70°C water, let it steep for 2 minutes) and add it to the apples. Mix one sachet of gelling agent and 1 tablespoon of sugar into the mixture and bring to a boil. Add the remaining 5 tablespoons of sugar and simmer for about 3 minutes. While still hot, pour into preserving jars and cover with the lids. This recipe makes about 4 jars.
