Apple in a blanket with oat flakes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 packs of puff pastry (ready-made puff pastry)
  • 3 apples (Boskoop)
  • 100 g oat flakes
  • 100 g raisins
  • Jam (strawberry, apricot)
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

without nuts, makes 3 pieces

Remove the two sheets of puff pastry from the packaging and roll them out. Cut off a good third of each piece of dough and press the two pieces together to form a third. Peel the apples and cut out the cores. I always make the holes nice and big so that more filling can fit. Place an apple on each piece of dough and fill it alternately with oats, raisins, and jam. I always start with the oats so that nothing leaks out during baking. Fold the corners of the pastry up over each other and press down firmly. Place the apples on a baking tray and brush with beaten egg yolk. Place in the oven on the middle rack at 200°C and bake for about 30 minutes, depending on the size of the apples, until golden brown. Remove the apples from the oven, serve with vanilla sauce, if desired, and enjoy.
