Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g apples
  • 250 g banana(s)
  • ½ bottle of bitter almond flavor
  • some lemon juice
  • 500 g gelling sugar 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

Peel the apples and slice them. Peel and slice the bananas. Mix in the lemon juice, bitter almond flavoring, and gelling sugar and let it steep for about 1.5 hours. Bring everything to a boil and simmer for four minutes. If necessary, use a hand blender to break up the mixture. Pour the jam into jars while still hot, screw on the lids, and turn them upside down for five minutes.
