Apple onion vegetables

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 m.-sized apples
  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 cup of sweet cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • Thyme
  • marjoram
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 23 minutes

Spicy side dish

Dice the apples and onions and fry in the butter. Add all the spices and deglaze with the cream. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 5-8 minutes (depending on the apple variety). Be careful not to let it stick. Use fresh thyme and marjoram sparingly, so one doesn’t overpower the flavor. For dried, add about 1 tablespoon each.
