Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry
  • 1 medium egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 2 small apples
  • 75 g flour
  • 40 g butter
  • 40 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • some powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Wash, peel, and slice the apples into thin slices. Cut 6 large circles out of the puff pastry and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Mix the egg yolk and milk and brush the mixture over the puff pastry. Place the apple slices on top, overlapping in a circle. Make a crumb topping from flour, butter, sugar, and cinnamon and spread it on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (top/bottom heat) for approximately 15-20 minutes. Dust the finished pastries with powdered sugar.
