- 125 g sugar
- 175 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 75 g almonds
- 50 g sugar
- 50 g butter
- 1 kg apples (approx. 4-5)

Combine all the ingredients for the batter and pour into a greased springform pan. Brown the almonds, sugar, and butter in a pan. Meanwhile, peel the apples and halve or quarter them (depending on size). Score them with a fork and lightly press them, curved side up, into the batter. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and sugar, if desired, and scatter the browned almonds on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 60 minutes.
