The perfect apple pie with custard recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 220 g Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 Pc. Apples
  • 100 g Butter
  • 160 g Sugar
  • 1 Pc. Egg
  • Cinnamon powder
  • 1 Pc. Egg
  • 0,5 liter Apple juice
  • 2 packet Custard powder
  • 50 g Sugar
  • Almond flakes
  1. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, an egg and butter in a bowl to form a shortcrust pastry. Roll out the finished dough in a greased springform pan, making the edge about 3 cm. pulling up. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C (convection). Core the apples and cut into small pieces. Spread the apple pieces on the shortcrust pastry and refine with a little cinnamon if you like.
  2. Mix the pudding powder with a little apple juice and the sugar (approx. 50 g.). Bring the rest of the apple juice to the boil and add the mixed custard powder. Bring the pudding to the boil again, then remove it from the hob, let it cool down a little and stir in an egg.
  3. Spread the pudding evenly over the apples. Scatter the almond flakes on top. Bake the apple pie in the oven on the middle rack for approx. 45 – 50 minutes.
