Apple Pie with Rum

The perfect apple pie with rum recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 60 g Butter
  • 120 g Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 1 packet Custard powder
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 80 g Flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 10 Apples
  • 4 cl Rum
  1. Peel the apples and grate them into thin slices with a vegetable slicer.
  1. Mix the butter and sugar until frothy, preferably in a small saucepan over a low heat. Then take the pot off the hob.
  1. First add the milk, then the flour, vanilla pudding powder and baking powder, a pinch of salt and rum. (If you want, you can flavor the cake batter with rosemary instead of the rum.)
  1. Mix the dough with the apples, place in a baking dish lined with baking paper and smooth out.
  1. Bake the cake at 180 degrees (fan oven) for 60 minutes. Then turn off the oven and let the cake stand for another 10 minutes.
