Apple Pita
The perfect apple pita recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Filo pastry
- 8 St. Big apples
- 2 Handful Chopped walnuts
- Breadcrumbs, cinnamon, sugar, cooking oil, powdered sugar
- Spread out the filo dough. Prepare cinnamon, sugar and breadcrumbs.
- Peel the apples, grate them roughly and sauté them briefly in a pan with a little sugar.
- Always take 2 filo leaves, sprinkle some of the grated apple on top, then sprinkle with sugar (depending on how sweet you like it), then sprinkle with some breadcrumbs, add a few walnuts and sprinkle with cinnamon if you like.
- Roll up the dough. Place on a baking sheet greased with cooking oil.
- Do this until everything is used up.
- Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and bake until golden brown. After approx. 15 minutes, remove the pita and drizzle with sugar water. (200 ml + 4 tbsp sugar). Now finish baking.
- Let cool, cut into rectangles and dust with powdered sugar.
