Apple-quince jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 550 g quince(s) (approx. 450 g pulp)
  • 500 ml water
  • 500 g apples (approx. 400 g pulp)
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 kg gelling sugar (1:1)

Wash the quinces, quarter them, and remove the cores. Dice the flesh and boil in 500 ml of water for 20-25 minutes. Peel the apples, remove the cores, and dice them as well. Mix with the lemon juice. Purée the cooked quinces with the cooking liquid and the apple pieces. Then mix everything with the gelling sugar and bring to a boil. Boil gently for 4 minutes while stirring. Immediately pour into jars and seal.
