Apple tart with almond glaze

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 600 g apples
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 200 ml cream
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • ½ lemon(s), grated peel
  • 3 m.-sized eggs
  • 200 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 40 g almond flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel, quarter, core, and weigh the apples (600 g), then cut into thin slices. Drizzle with lemon juice. Whisk the cream with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and lemon zest until semi-stiff. Gradually stir in the eggs. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add, then stir briefly. Pour the batter into a greased and floured tart tin and smooth it out. Distribute the apples over the batter and pre-bake the cake at 200°C. Meanwhile, for the glaze, put the butter, sugar, and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir in the almonds. Spoon the glaze over the apple slices. Bake the cake for another 15-20 minutes at the oven setting specified above.
