Applesauce Bread with Maple Frosting

The recipe is for a loaf pan approximately 25 cm long. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Melt butter and place it in a large bowl. Add applesauce, sugar, eggs, and milk and mix thoroughly. Gradually add the flour mixture to the applesauce mixture and mix well. Finally, fold in the walnuts. Pour the batter into the pan and bake on the middle rack for approximately 55 minutes. Let cool. For the glaze, combine the softened butter, vanilla extract, milk, powdered sugar, and maple syrup until creamy and spread it over the cooled cake. If you like, you can also sprinkle a cinnamon-sugar mixture onto the still-softened glaze.
