Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 7 apples
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 clove(s)
  • 5 rusks
  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut
  • 2 tbsp almonds, chopped
  • 250 ml cream

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Christmas apple sauce with rusk crumbs and cream

Peel the apples and cut them into approximately 2-3 cm pieces. Simmer them in a saucepan with the cinnamon stick, clove, cinnamon, and sugar over medium heat. After about 15-20 minutes, remove the cinnamon stick and clove and puree the apples. Crumble the rusks and mix them with the almonds and desiccated coconut. Whip the cream. Pour the applesauce into a glass bowl, top with the whipped cream, and then the rusk mix.
