Applesauce "Diplomat"

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg apples
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 40 ml brandy
  • 40 ml sweet cream
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 4 tbsp sugar, brown

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Applesauce “peppered” with a little alcohol

Peel and core the apples. Roughly dice them and place them in a saucepan with the water and white sugar. Boil until they almost fall apart. This takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on the variety. Then puree. Divide the cooled applesauce into bowls or glasses and sprinkle with the brown sugar and cinnamon. Carefully pour the brandy and cream over the applesauce and serve.
