Applesauce “peppered” with a little alcohol
Peel and core the apples. Roughly dice them and place them in a saucepan with the water and white sugar. Boil until they almost fall apart. This takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on the variety. Then puree. Divide the cooled applesauce into bowls or glasses and sprinkle with the brown sugar and cinnamon. Carefully pour the brandy and cream over the applesauce and serve.
