Axel's coffee with spices

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 750 ml water
  • 600 ml milk
  • 125 ml Baileys Irish Cream
  • 7 cardamom pods
  • 6 tbsp coffee powder
  • 5 grains of allspice
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar (bourbon vanilla)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Crush the cardamom and allspice in a mortar and pestle, add it to a coffee filter with the coffee grounds, and brew with boiling water. Warm the milk, add Bailey’s, and froth the milk with a milk frother or hand blender. Pour the coffee into glasses or large mugs, sweeten with vanilla sugar to taste, top with the frothed milk, and sprinkle with cinnamon powder. Enjoy hot.
