Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g oat flakes or spelt flakes, 5-grain mix or barley flakes
  • 1 handful of nuts (e.g. almonds, sunflower seeds, etc.)
  • 1 handful of raisins
  • possibly grated ginger, if required
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 apple, generously diced
  • Cinnamon
  • Thick juice (agave syrup) or cane sugar
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

warm and digestible

Heat the ghee in a small saucepan and roast the nuts, ginger, and raisins. Then add the flakes. Toss the mixture around and then add enough water to come to a level about 1 cm above the flakes. Reduce the heat to low. Heat a little water in another small saucepan and sauté the diced apple with the cinnamon until soft. Once the flakes have absorbed all the water, transfer the flakes to a deep plate and mix with the stewed apple. Sweeten to taste with agave syrup or cane sugar, if desired. Tip: If you like and aren’t concerned about calories, you can add 1 teaspoon of ghee to the warm porridge.
