Bacon and parsley dumplings

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 150 g white bread, stale
  • ⅛ liter milk, hot
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 50 g bacon
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 1 egg(s)
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Soup garnish

Cut the white bread into thin strips. Pour hot milk over it and let it simmer. Knead with your hands. Sauté the finely diced onions and bacon. Mix the white bread, onions, bacon, egg, salt, pepper, and parsley together and form small dumplings with wet hands. Let it simmer in hot broth until cooked through.
