Ingredients
- 700 g Ground beef
- 12 slices Bacon
- 2 Medium onions
- 4 slices Cheddar cheese
- 4 Burger bun
- 4 leaves Iceberg lettuce
- 1 Tomato
- 200 ml Mayonnaise
- 100 ml Tomato ketchup
- 50 ml Mustard
- 0,25 Onion
- 0,5 clove Garlic
- 0,5 tsp White wine vinegar
- Hot chilli sauce
- Salt pepper
Instructions
Burger sauce
- Finely chop the onion. In a bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, mustard, onions, garlic and vinegar together well and season with pepper and hot chili sauce to taste. Cover the finished burger sauce and let it stand for at least an hour.
Citizens
- Divide the meat into equal parts of 150 g each and shape into burger patties. The patties should be a little larger than the rolls, as they will shrink when grilled. Press in the middle of the patties with your thumb so that they do not bulge when grilling.
- Cut the onions into rings approx. 1 cm thick and sweat in a pan until they are translucent or lightly brown.
- Grill the patties on one side (3-4 minutes). After turning the grilled side, season with salt and pepper. Now the bacon is also on the grill. Place the cheese on the patties about 2 minutes before the meat has reached the desired cooking point. Then the bun halves come on the grill with the cut side. Grill the rolls on one side only.
- As soon as the meat is done, stack all the ingredients between the bun halves in the desired order.
