Baked apple casserole with marzipan icing

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 100 g marzipan paste
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g sugar
  • 300 g crème fraîche
  • 1 pack of vanilla sauce powder
  • 4 m.-sized apples
  • Raisins
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

For the glaze, dice the marzipan. Blend with the eggs and sugar using a hand blender until creamy. Stir in the crème fraîche and sauce mix. Wash, halve, and core the apples. Fill the casseroles with raisins. Place the apples, raisin-side up, in a greased dish. Pour the glaze over the casserole. Bake in a preheated oven (top/bottom heat: 200°C, fan oven: 175°C) for approximately 35-40 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, or both.
