Baked Apple Layered Dessert
The perfect baked apple layered dessert recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Baked apple mass
- 500 g Peeled apples (firm variety)
- 90 g Sugar
- 70 g Butter
- 50 ml Cream
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- (Rosinen oder andere weihnachtl. Gewürze nach Geschmack)

- 300 g Cream cheese
- 300 g Mascarpone
- 150 ml Cream
- 80 g Sugar
also
- 200 g Cantuccini
- 100 g Roasted almond flakes
Baked apple mass
- Melt the sugar and butter in a saucepan (it should be big enough so that the apples will fit in later) and simmer for about 5 minutes so that a caramel sauce is created.
- Cut apples (peeled and cored) into approx. 0.5 cm cubes. (It is advisable to use an apple that does not overcook so quickly because otherwise you will only end up with applesauce)
- Add the apples and cinnamon to the caramel sauce (it now looks like the sauce is completely gone, but that will change again) stir well and simmer for 5-10. Stir it every now and then. Remove the apples from the sauce that has now been created again. Pour the cream into the sauce and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes so that the sauce thickens a little. Finally, add the apples again, mix everything, set aside and let cool.
- (Depending on your taste, you can add other Christmas spices such as gingerbread spices, cardamom, star anise or anise to the apple mixture. Or also (previously soaked) raisins)

- Mix the mascarpone and cream cheese with sugar and a little vanilla (e.g. vanilla pulp, vanilla paste …) until creamy. Whip the cream until stiff and fold in.
additional
- Crumble the cantuccini, you can do that in a blender or by packing the biscuits in a freezer bag or something similar and knocking them on with a rolling pin or whatever: D They don’t have to be very finely chopped up, you can be a few smaller and larger pieces.
- Roast the flaked almonds in a dry pan until golden brown and allow to cool.

- Layer alternately biscuit crumbs, flaked almonds, cream and apple mixture in glasses. Finally, sprinkle with a few biscuit crumbs and flaked almonds.
- The finished glasses can now easily be placed in the refrigerator for 2 – 3 hours (even longer). They can be prepared very well and can then be served quickly and chilled when you need them.
