Baked apples in white wine with raisins, sugar and cinnamon from the oven

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 apples
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 100 ml white wine
  • some cinnamon sugar
  • 1 lemon(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

for a small casserole dish

Soak the raisins in a glass of water for about 5-10 minutes. Peel and quarter the apples. Cut the quarters into 4 more pieces. You can also leave the pieces larger, but they will take a little longer in the oven. Arrange the apples in a smaller baking dish, ensuring the bottom is well covered. Sprinkle the apples with lemon juice to prevent them from browning. Sprinkle the raisins over the apples. Pour the white wine into the dish; the bottom should be about 5 mm deep. Sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar over the top. Place the dish in the oven preheated to 180°C (top/bottom heat) and bake the apples on the middle rack for about 20-25 minutes. The wine will then have evaporated and the apples are done. You may want to sprinkle a little more cinnamon sugar over the top.
