Baked bananas in crème fraîche sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 bananas
  • 4 tsp lemon juice
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 150 g yogurt
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate, seeds, or red currants
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 32 minutes

Peel the bananas, halve them lengthwise, drizzle with lemon juice, and place them in an ovenproof dish. Melt the butter, stir in the honey, and add the cinnamon. Brush the bananas with the butter. Place the dish on a rack in an oven preheated to 200-220 degrees Celsius (400-425 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake for about 12 minutes. For the sauce, combine the remaining ingredients, season with sugar, add to the bananas, and garnish with pomegranate seeds or currants.
