Baked cheese potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 large potatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 200 g Gouda, aged
  • 4 tbsp cream
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 50 g smoked bacon

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 55 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Clean the potatoes, cut them straight lengthwise, and place them cut-side down on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and drizzle with oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 45 minutes. Grate the cheese and mix with the cream. Turn the potatoes over and spread the mixture on top. Add the diced bacon and bake for another 10 minutes, then sprinkle with caraway seeds. Serve with a mixed green salad.
