Baked mascarpone apples

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g apples, sour
  • 2 tbsp butter, room temperature
  • 6 tbsp Calvados
  • 250 g mascarpone
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 50 g almond(s), in flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel and quarter the apples, remove the cores, and cut into thin slices. Grease a baking dish with butter. Place the apple slices in an overlapping layer. Drizzle with Calvados and marinate for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius (E). Place the mascarpone in a bowl, add the eggs and sugar, and beat with a mixer until light yellow and creamy. Sprinkle with cinnamon and season gently with salt. Spoon the cream over the apples. Sprinkle with almond flakes and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot.
