Baked plaice fillets South Pacific

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g plaice fillet(s), fresh or frozen
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • Salt
  • 20 g butter
  • ⅛ liter cream
  • 1 tsp mustard, medium hot
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • ½ tsp curry powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter, for browning
  • 3 tbsp almonds, sliced ​​or grated
  • some paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Briefly wash the plaice fillets; thaw frozen ones. Drizzle with lemon juice, sprinkle with salt, and place them side by side in a buttered, shallow ovenproof dish. Combine the cream and mustard and season with ginger, curry, and salt. Pour the sauce over the plaice fillets. Top the fillets with butter, sprinkle with almonds, and lightly dust with paprika. Place in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat). The plaice fillets will be cooked through after about 25 minutes. Suggested side dish: parsley potatoes and a green salad.
