Baked sheep's cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g sheep’s cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • Flour
  • olive oil
  • 2 tbsp oregano, dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cut the feta cheese into approximately 1 cm thick slices. Whisk the eggs together in a deep dish. Pour the flour onto a shallow dish. Heat plenty of olive oil in a pan. Dip the feta cheese slices, one at a time, thoroughly in the egg mixture, then in the flour. Fry in hot olive oil until golden brown, sprinkling with oregano on both sides. Drain the baked feta cheese slightly on kitchen paper and serve immediately.
