Baked Stuffed Jalapeño Poppers

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 12 large jalapeños
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • ¼ cup coriander leaves, finely chopped (cup with approx. 200 ml content)
  • ¼ cup spring onion(s), finely chopped (cup with approx. 200 ml content)
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp sea salt, fine
  • 2 slices of Gruyere cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat oven to 220°C (top/bottom heat), line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice one-third of the jalapeños lengthwise. Hollow out the jalapeños, scraping out the seeds and membranes. Mix the cream cheese with cilantro, spring onions, garlic powder, and salt. Stuff the jalapeños with this mixture. Cut the slices into strips and place them on top of the stuffed jalapeños. Bake in the hot oven for approximately 10-15 minutes.
