Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 250 g tortellini from the refrigerated section
- 1 tomato(s)
- e.g. tomato paste
- n. B. garlic
- 1 onion(s)
- 125 g smoked meat, diced
- 1 cup cream or 1/2 milk, 1/2 sour cream
- 100 g cheese (e.g. Gouda, mozzarella …), grated
- salt and pepper
- herbs, Italian
- Worcestershire sauce
- possibly cornstarch
- some water to mix the starch
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Fry the smoked meat cubes, add the onions and garlic, and sauté. Dice the tomatoes and add them as well. Add the cream and reduce the mixture. Season to taste, thickening slightly with cornstarch if desired. Briefly cook the tortellini if they aren’t pre-cooked (soft ones)—I didn’t pre-cook them. Place them in a baking dish, pour the sauce over them, and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake everything in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes with the lid closed. Bake with the lid open for another 10 minutes.
