Baked tortilla chips

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 150 g cheese (e.g. Gouda)
  • 250 g crème fraîche
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 1 jar Pepper, mild
  • 400 g tortilla(s) (chips)
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 jar tomato peppers
  • 1 bottle of sauce (salsa, tomato chili sauce)
  • Salt and pepper, white
  • n. B. Chili pepper(s) for garnish

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Grate the cheese and mix all but 2 tablespoons of it with the crème fraîche. Trim and wash the spring onions, drain the peppers, and cut both into rings. Place the tortilla chips in a large baking dish. Spread the peppers, spring onions, and cheese spread on top. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in the hot oven for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, peel and chop the onion. Drain the tomatoes and peppers, puree them, and mix with the salsa. Fold in the onions and season the sauce with salt and pepper. Garnish the tortilla chips with chili peppers, if desired, and serve with the dip.
